Russ Pratt

Born in South Dakota, Russ Pratt moved with his family to Southern California in the 1950’s. After receiving his Bachelor and Law degrees from UCLA, he practiced law in Los angeles for 8 years. In 1968, he joined the Peace Corps and moved his family to the Southern African nation of Botswana where he became country director. After 3 wonderful years, Russ and the family relocated to Northern California, where he began working in the Real Estate industry as a broker. He then joined forces with Merrit Sher as president of Terranomics until 1982, at which point he formed The Pratt company. Over the past 35 years Russ has completed fifteen (15) shopping centers, totaling over 3,000,000 square feet of retail space in addition to completing three (3) self-storage facilities of over 230,000 square feet. In addition, he is a past trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers, with which he remains very active. When not in the office, he's either painting or playing with his many grandchildren.

 

 

Kevin Pratt

Kevin Pratt joined the family business in early 2005 after working in the music, broadcasting, advertising and film industries for 20 years. With his background in the creative world, Kevin handles the design and creative tasks for The Pratt Company. His current real estate passion is the growing field of sustainable design and construction.  As the company has entered the multi-family market over the last two years, Kevin is exploring the issue of affordability in markets like the Bay Area.

 

 

Michael Fogelman

Michael joined The Pratt Company in 2000 and as the company's CFO, is responsible for the financial oversight of the company. Not satisfied with solely number crunching, Michael also actively participates in all new development activities of the company. Prior to joining The Pratt Company, Michael spent two years as a retail specialist with TRI Commercial in San Francisco. While at TRI, he successfully represented both retailers and landlords in a number of lease and sale transactions, both in suburban and urban markets throughout the Bay Area. Michael believes strongly in the need for responsible, sustainable real estate development. A guiding principal is that we can create attractive and successful retail and mixed-use projects that contribute to local economies while minimizing the environmental impact. He earned his BA at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He maintains an active California Real Estate Salespersons license and lives in Berkeley with his wife and two young children.
